to try out Sephora’s Color IQ shade match technology to select the perfect foundation for my skin, I really was super happy.

Earlier this month I had the opportunity to relax a bit and leave my beautiful routine of being a full time mom behind for just a moment to dedicate myself for two hours in the hands of the professionals at Sephora inside JCPenney for a one-on-one makeover.

I had the pleasure to begin this incredible process in the hands of Sephora Education Area Manager, Megan Davidson with a mini facial… This was really the best in the world. I needed to relax for a while with pure relaxation and, of course, the perfect preparation to choose and apply the foundation.

Sephora inside JCPenney and Sephora have incredible technology that allows you to identify your skin type- the Moisture Meter - allowing us to determine our skin type, whether it is oily, dry, normal, or combination. In my case, it was combination. This tool is incredible because it is exact and it helps us choose the perfect cleanser and moisturizer for our skin type while saving time.

The next step was to determine

my foundation shade with Color IQ. With this technology, a

Sephora Area Education Manager obtains a number by taking photos of our skin with the portable tool and inputting that number into Sephora’s portable tablet to obtain all the products that exist at Sephora that match our skin tone. In my case, we decided on

for a natural finish. I really liked the process of Color IQ because is the best way to determine the perfect foundation color for your skin, so easy and precise. For me,

was a completely new experience and the best one. I have to confess that this is the first time that I have the correct foundation for day, that covers and at the same time, has a super natural look that I really love.

After applying the foundation, Petey Palomo, my other Area Education Manager that day, was the one in charge of giving color and life to my face with the beautiful selection of the best products and brands that exist at Sephora. It was really an incredible experience where I felt truly spoiled and above all, a learning experience.
